Few typefaces exhibit the versatility to serve headlines, running text, and branding while remaining truly size-agnostic, as Kalice does, a lauded sophomore release by Margot Lévêque. The magic is right in front of us: the serifs. Circular and distinctive, they draw inspiration from the tradition of French Turlot Foundry, refined through contemporary tooling to achieve fine detail while maintaining even color in both print and digital use. The result is a singular, well-balanced design befitting the foundry.

At smaller sizes, the serifs recede into a stable, reliable texture. At larger sizes, they resolve into sharper, more expressive details. They never clog or grow fussy, remaining controlled and precise, like a well-honed knife. Born from utility and discernment, a restrained subset of the design introduces diagonal-legged discretionary KA/RA alternates, offering a measured increase in color and distinction. Like all Claude typefaces, it sports the rigour and inimitable attention for dozens of alternative letterforms and ligatures befit French workmanship, waiting to be discovered for years and uses to come. It supports multiple European languages and is delivered in otf, woff, and woff2 formats.
