A French Maison of Custom Typefaces
Claude Type is an intimate typographic maison founded by Margot Lévêque. French, she spent the past decade in Paris, shaping a practice that treats typography like couture: measured, fitted, and finished to the last detail; before moving to New York. Each typeface is carefully drawn by hand, each custom project shaped sur-mesure. Her work is deeply informed by typographic history—classical forms, Garamond’s legacy, editorial traditions—yet always guided by a personal sense of feeling. Named in homage to Claude Garamont, Claude Type lives where type meets fashion, creating bespoke typefaces and signature logotypes for houses and brands attentive to silhouette, presence, and emotion. Ninna, Romie, Ernest, Kalice—and others yet to come—shape the maison, where you are always welcome.
